Lower Body Protection System

Lyra has developed this system which in conjunction with conventional bulletproof / fragmentation vest provides full body protection with complete freedom of movement. The protection level can be offered from NIJ Level I to Level IIIA and/or V50 of 400 m/s as per MIL-STD-662F & STANAG 292 depending on customer’s requirement. Potential end use of this system is in environments which are mine-infested or where counter insurgency operations are being conducted. The system is already in use on the field.

This system allows mobility and flexibility which the conventional EOD suit does not provide.

The suit is donned in the following sequence:

  • Ballistic Trouser
  • Ballistic Sleeves
  • Ballistic Shoes (shoes are meant to be worn if the user is driving a point-vehicle)
  • Ballistic Jacket
  • Gloves
